I will reinforceAustralia's commitment to the multilateral trading system at the 11th WorldTrade Organization (WTO) Ministerial Conference (MC11) in Buenos Aires thisweek.

Australia's future economicprosperity relies heavily on fair and enforceable rules that support the globaltrading environment.

Australia is leading efforts inthe WTO to liberalise agriculture, services and e-commerce trade. I willco-chair a meeting of Cairns Group ministers to progress our goal of levellingthe playing field in international agricultural trade. I will also co-chair ameeting of ministers interested in developing new rules on e-commerce.

While in Buenos Aires I will meetwith trade ministers from Australia's major trading partners to advanceAustralia's trade, tourism and investment interests. This includes progressingthe Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership withthe 11 countries involved.

I will also speak at the MC11Business Forum and participate in the launch of the Global Trade Professionals'Alliance by the Export Council of Australia.
