NSW startups take their products global

Seven NSW startups will learn from globalinnovation experts in Tel Aviv, as part of a joint program hosted in one of theworld's most advanced innovation hubs.

Federal Trade, Tourism and InvestmentMinister Steven Ciobo, and NSW Minister for Innovation Matt Kean todayannounced the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning startups thatwill attend the intensive, 10-day program at Austrade's Israel Landing Pad from9-19 July.

"Tel Aviv has one of the highest startupdensities in the world - an impressive array of foreign investors and venturecapitalists, with broad specialist knowledge in cyber security and ITinfrastructure," said Minister Ciobo.

"These startups will be makingincredibly valuable connections as they strive to take their products andservices to a global market," he said.

"The Turnbull Coalition Government'sLanding Pad program is designed to assist Australian entrepreneurs inconverting their ideas into successful enterprises."

Mr Kean said the competitive applicationprocess found a diverse selection of startups with innovative businesssolutions.

"These companies are the best in thebusiness. They are creating ground-breaking products and services that arereshaping the landscape of the modern-day workforce," Mr Kean said.

The selected startups have developed arange of solutions to business problems.

"One company heading to Israel isFluroSat, an impressive business that uses remote sensing drones to helpfarmers track poor crop development, trace the cause, and find solutions," MrKean said.

"Another is Daisee's LinguisticInterpretive Semantic Analysis (LISA), a program that records and analysescustomer calls, and creates insights and learnings from the interactions.

"I'm so proud tosee our home-grown talent getting the opportunity to learn from the world'sbest innovators. This program is another example of the Government's commitmentto supporting startups."

This marks the third year the NSWGovernment has partnered with Austrade's Landing Pad program.
