Sprint to Landing Pads
Budding startups are invited to join Austrade's Sprint to Landing Pads program, a primer for new enterprises seeking a place at the Turnbull Coalition Government's five global Landing Pads.
Sprint to Landing Pad workshops will run from 2-10 May in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, providing coaching and practical advice for emerging entrepreneurs looking to turn their early-stage business into a functioning startup.
Australia's innovation ecosystem is a hive of creativity and new thinking; the aim of this series is to help bring some of that huge potential to life.
Participants will learn skills to develop their business model to a point where it may become eligible for a place in one of the Landing Pads in San Francisco, Berlin, Tel Aviv, Shanghai or Singapore. Sessions will range across planning, legal structure, investment strategy, government funding and incentives, marketing and staffing.
Landing Pads provide immersive, 90-day residencies in some of the world's leading innovation hubs, giving startups an opportunity to share ideas, develop their business model and meet prospective investors, partners and customers.
Past participants have achieved notable successes, attracting business and venture capital across several continents. Each workshop will include presentations and panel discussions with past Landing Pad participants and prominent members of Australia's innovation ecosystem.
The Turnbull Coalition Government's Landing Pads, part of the National Innovation and Science Agenda, are aimed at assisting Australian entrepreneurs.
