Oops, Albo did it again
Labor'stourism spokesperson, Anthony Albanese, has again been caught out using oldfigures to talk down Australia's tourism industry.
Mr Albanese today said, "internationalvisitation increased in every state and territory except the NorthernTerritory, which saw a 2.9 per cent decrease".
However, the most recent figures show a five per cent increase in the number ofinternational tourists visiting the Northern Territory over the most recent 12month period. In fact, the number of international visitors coming to theNorthern Territory is 13 per cent higher than it was when Mr Albanese was ingovernment.
Thislatest blunder by Mr Albanese comes after he issued another negative pressrelease last Tuesday claiming spending by Chinese tourists was $7.7 billion, which it was back in 2015. In the most recent 12 months international visitorsfrom China spent $9.1 billion.
Thetourism industry is growing three times faster under the Coalition than it wasunder Labor. It's no wonder Mr Albanese can't keep up.
