Consultations begin for Australia's new nation brand
Businesses are encouraged to have their say on thedevelopment of Australia's new Nation Brand in a series of forums startingaround the country this week.
TheTurnbull Government is developing a new nation brand to showcase Australia onthe world stage and reinforce our reputation as a producer of premium qualitygoods and services, an internationally competitive investment destination and agreat place to visit and study.
Creatinga unified nation brand will help our exporters use Australia's reputationto sell more of their goods and services to the world; driving economic growthand creating new Australian jobs.
Earlierthis month I was pleased to announce the outstanding members of the NationBrand Advisory Council, being chaired by Mr Andrew Forrest, who will overseethe development of the new nation brand.
Inaddition to the Council we are welcoming extensive input from business and thebroader community through the nationwide forum series, which have commenced inMelbourne.
The stakeholderconsultation program includes digital and face-to-face sessions in all capitalcities to ensure all Australians have the opportunity to share ideasand collaborate on creating the new brand.
Thisunifying initiative, applicable across all industries and designed to build onAustralia's already strong standing overseas, will drive Australian exports,growing our economy and creating more jobs.
