Australian cyber security startups preparing for lift-off in San Francisco

Six Australian cyber securitystartups have been chosen to take part in the Turnbull Government's Landing Padprogram to help launch their ideas to the world.

The six promising start ups -Cog Systems, Hivint, GoPC, Haventec, NetCrypt and SIEMonster - will have theopportunity to access business networks, mentors and ideas at the San FranciscoLanding Pad run by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).

The 90-day program, deliveredin conjunction with the Australian Cyber Growth Network (ACSGN), helpsmarket-ready startups and scaleups grow their businesses by facilitatingin-market business development, introductions to investors and mentor networksand strategic partnership opportunities.

The Landing Pads are animportant part of the Turnbull Government's National Innovation and ScienceAgenda. The program is designed to assist Australian entrepreneurs bring theirideas to market and build successful enterprises.

The Landing Pad program assistsAustralian startups in cutting edge industries, including services, to buildnew export market opportunities. There are Landing Pads also in Berlin,Shanghai, Singapore and Tel Aviv.

Former graduatesof the San Francisco Landing Pad include KoalaSafe, a Sydney startup that isnow selling its child protection wireless router in more than 250 Target storesacross the US; and Event Force Workgroup, a Geelong startup which is nowopening an office in the US after signing significant deals for its eventrostering and management platform with the 2018 Superbowl, the City ofMinneapolis and the Aspen World Ski Cup.
