Australia Export Awards Investment Awards finalists
The Investment Award honours an international company or joint venture making a long-term contribution to our economy, and will again feature at this year's Australian Export Awards.
The Minister's Investment Award, introduced in 2016, recognises economic contributions of businesses creating jobs, cultivating innovation and facilitating Australian industry expansion within global supply chains.
Five companies have been nominated by States and Territories for the Investment Award:
- Alibaba Group (Australia and New Zealand)
- Canberra Metro
- NEC Australia
- Neoen
- The Bosch Group (Bosch) and The Yield
Australia has used investment from overseas for more than a century to boost our economy, build our infrastructure and grow our businesses. When foreign investors partner with Australian businesses it boosts Australia's skills and expertise, creating sustainable jobs of the future.
The Turnbull Coalition Government recognises the contribution of foreign investment to our national prosperity, and the Investment Award is an important means to honour this contribution.
The Australian Export Awards are one of the nation's longest running business awards programs, with 12 export categories reflecting the breadth and depth of Australia's skill set – from biotech and health, to education, agribusiness and digital technologies.
I look forward to announcing the winner of the Investment Award at the 55th Australian Export Awards ceremony in Canberra on 5 December 2017.
